About World Outdoors

World Outdoors started as an idea after three friends hiked up Blackcomb Glacier in the summer and experienced the awe-inspiring power of nature to transform. They noticed how connected they felt as they visited an ice cave and looked at years and years of nature's activity. They noticed mountain trash - old trail signs and markers - strewn about after the snow melted away, leaving plastic behind. They noticed how hard they laughed when nobody had cell phones to use for anything other than to take photos. Wanting those feelings - inspired, connected, engaged - for everyone, World Outdoors was created.

Our vision at World Outdoors is to inspire people to connect with nature and explore the great outdoors. We believe that spending time outside is good for the mind, body, and spirit, and we want to make it easy for everyone to experience the benefits of nature. 

We want to make it easier to put down the phone and get outdoors. Our commitment is to provide simple recommendations and tested resources that we hope make it easier for you to get outdoors.
